About Freexian
Since its founding in 2005, Freexian has established itself as a trusted partner for businesses leveraging Debian for their infrastructure and products. Led by long-standing Debian developers, Freexian is dedicated to advancing Debian as the leading Linux distribution.
To fulfill this mission, Freexian hires passionate Debian contributors, enabling them to dedicate the majority of their time to Debian and free and open source software. This commitment is supported by a unique model: combining client-focused professional services, significant contributions to Debian's development, and alignment with individual goals.
Flagship Services: Extending Security and Lifecycle Support. Freexian’s core offerings center on long-term security support and maintenance of Debian derivatives:
Debian LTS: Providing security updates for the first five years.
Debian ELTS: Extending Debian's lifecycle to ten years.
PHP LTS: Ensuring access to all PHP versions across all Debian/Ubuntu releases.
Debusine: A SaaS platform tailored to Debian workflows, streamlining the continuous integration process, from source code building to software delivery, including package repositories and images.
In addition, Freexian also provides a wide range of key Debian services, such as technical support, Debian packaging, security and CRA compliance, and consulting.
Notable Achievements. Among their many contributions to the Debian ecosystem, Freexian is proud of having developed Kali Linux for OffSec, and of providing debusine.debian.net, a Debusine instance that facilitates the work of all Debian contributors.
